Abstract Lithium‐sulfur batteries are one of the most promising energy storage devices in future due to their high specific capacity and abundant natural reserves. However, shuttle effect soluble intermediate polysulfide products can lead rapid decay battery capacity, short cycle life serious self‐discharge effect, which hinders development lithium‐sulfur batteries. Here, we coated separator with a mixed SeS 2 /KB coating, effectively stop improve performance through physical barrier KB strong adsorption synergy each other. Theoretical calculations experiments show that has on polysulfides. The equipped excellent electrochemical performance, maintaining 482 mAh g S −1 after 1000 cycles at 1 C current density, rate only 0.047 % per cycle.
